Knowing where to jump on the new Fornite map is not an easy task. Although some elements and names are familiar to the player, this map is completely new and you will need to learn new strategies and new places to make good loot quickly. Check out the best places to skip with our guide.
At this point, the map is somewhat reminiscent of the first seasons of Fortnite Chapter 1: the map does not (yet) have desert or snowy areas, and outside the main places, it looks even half naked. As always, places with a higher concentration of houses or buildings are more likely to loot in quality and quantity. In addition, the new aquatic mechanics have reasonably changed the strategy of each game: now any place with water nearby is quite valuable.
Map Overview
We jumped in different locations, both in Playground mode and in real matches to better observe each one of them, and decided to order them from the most to the least attractive, in our experience. Of course, the more popular the place, the more risk there is.
Sloppy Dock
A new place, this dock is well loaded with loot and has many high points like cranes and warehouses. The interior of buildings is dangerous as there are many blind spots and hiding places, so proceed with caution. If you think a lot of players have jumped there or want to escape fast, land in the water and swim to safety or take a boat. It is obviously easy to pick up metal in the area, but be careful not to be surprised while collecting.
Reset Van Location : More or less in the middle of the area.
Glup Swamp
This curious Glup potion swamp and factory is currently one of the best jumping spots in Fortnite. The only thing, though, is that you have to enjoy fighting, as many players will have the same idea as you. One of the curious facts is the luminous swamp water that heals the player whenever he bathes in it, which can be very helpful in the midst of fighting. In addition, there are many mongrels inside and outside the Factory.
Location of the Reset Van : car park outside the main building.
Cordillera City
One of the best places to jump, the City of the Cordillera is well-loaded with loot and relatively safe: the lake in the north makes any enemy in the water easy to spot. On the south side, in the hills, it is relatively easy to shoot into the city with a sniper. The City of Cordillera is not a Torres Tortas 2, not least because it is not in a central area of ??the map, but it has the potential to attract a lot of heavy fighting. Along the river it is usually easy to catch a boat to escape.
Reset Van Location : Bridge that joins the two banks.
Clear Coastline
A very cool area with a great beach, perfect for applying the new game mechanics and the use of boats. This small coastal town also has many chests compared to other larger areas of the map.
Location of the Reset Van : car park near the pier.
Scorching Chimneys
Another completely new place, this fun nuclear power plant has lots of loot and a surprise to jump into the radioactive nucleus. Despite being a striking location, it is at one end of the map, which complicates your strategy if the circle closes away. It is possible to escape the plant using the electric line or the river.
Location of the Reset Van : outside Building 2.
Beach Cliff
A small town, Penhasco Praiano has the river on its west side, making it easy to get in and out. The buildings are few but the large amount of Vira-Vira makes the place very attractive.
Reset Van Location : in the Fish Sticks restaurant car park.
Frantic Farm
A place without much mystery and which has kept much of the same layout as the previous chapter, the Frantic Farm is easy to spot from the air, has many haystacks and cereal fields that are good hiding places. As disadvantages, remember that it is a flat area and is surrounded by other places, making a safe escape very difficult.
Reset Van Location : Slightly south of the largest red barn.
Preguiça Lake
This area is reminiscent of Snobbish Margins of the first chapter, as it also has several rich houses very close together and several chests. It's worth a look depending on the bus route. If it passes too close, you will have many enemies trying to catch your loot, but as a secondary zone it looks relatively safe.
Restart van location : Northeast city limit.
Weeping Grove
The location of this place is its best quality. It is central on the map and allows you to reach any other area quickly. Trees offer some protection. If your game strategy is heavily construction-based this is the best place to pick up wood.
Reset Van Location : N / A
Via do Varejo
One of the places that has returned but not in great beauty, Via do Varejo is a good secondary area where we do not find much advantage in jumping directly, unless you prefer relatively calm areas. It is easy to escape to other places using the high voltage lines.
Restart van location : Northeast city limit.
Salty Fountains
A normal place, in the Fortnite style. There are not many chests, no river nearby, and no high places to give way to your sniper talent. If you are starting your adventures in the game it is a good area to start the game. Otherwise, don't waste time.
Reset Van Location : City Center.
Nice park
Another place taken from Chapter 1, but unfortunately, much lower. Few chests, slightly stripped area and low buildings. If you are nostalgic you can take a look, but don't take too long.
Restart van location : East side of the car park.
Wooded Mall
A very unpopular place. There are few houses, few chests and it is not worth skipping there unless you prefer a quiet start to the game. It is a relatively central zone.
Reset Van Location : City Center
