Hello Players of Idle heroes. One of the main problems that beginners of the game idle heroes have is to decide whether they should keep a particular hero or convert them to fodder. Now, I have seen some beginners sacrificing their good heroes for fodders and getting almost very less in return. This guide is made for those beginners who do not know which heroes they should retain and which ones they should not. By a thumb rule, do not fodder the Dark or the Light heroes of the game. The reason is that these heroes are typically rare and also more valuable to players than their values as fodder.
Heroes in the High Tier
The heroes in this list are quite valuable and are very strong. It is recommended that you do not make any of the heroes on this list into fodder. But, if you think your experience in the game is enough and you really know what you are doing, then by all means go ahead. But for beginners, Do not. These heroes are strong right from their natural 5 star stage to their powered up 10 star stages and even further. Another thing that you have to note is that all of these heroes are not very strong in all the aspects and formats of the idle heroes game.

Some of the heroes that you have will perform better in any single target bosses that are in the game, whereas, some heroes will work better against the multi target bosses. Good and Strong heroes will let you inflict an enormous amount of damage on the bosses that you are battling against.
Aspen Dungeon: Solo Run
The heroes on this list will be able to reach Nightmare if their stars are upgraded to at least 10 stars, they are equipped with the gear having six stars and the guild tech on these heroes are maxed out.

You must remember that only the two heroes, that are Heart watcher and Vesa are actually powerful enough in Aspen even before their respective 10 star forms.
Mid Tier Heroes
This consists of decent as well as okay heroes who are up to at least 9 starts or in an ideal sense 10 stars.
Now, the trick with these heroes Is that, whether they should be made into fodder or kept as heroes is entirely up to you and your situation in the game.

The heroes in the list above are worth keeping only if you think they will be helpful in a certain situation, else they can be made into fodder.
Some of the heroes here can be used as good replacements in either the PvP or the PvE version of the game, provided that you are not able to get some copies of heroes on the High tier list. Some of these heroes can also be used for a few strategies that might be considered cheesy.

If you ask me, I would say that Aidan is only good if you are going to build a cheese strategy specifically centred around him. There is no other point in using him because he is not considered very strong if you are not going to do this.
Also, the hero Dantalian can be used by the player in a defensive team in the arena to ensure that the player survives all the 15 rounds. Also be sure that you will not lose any ratings when you are getting attacked by the other players in the game. Dantalian can also be very tanky.

A hero that only supports and hardly deals in any damage can be considered as Rosa. Though, he is able to make up for this by the fact that he can also increase the total damage that you cause on the bosses by the means of debuffing your enemy. He also buffs your own team members while he is at it.
Again, Aida would be considered decent here as well only if you have a cheese strategy that is focused around him, else he is pretty weak.
Goo and Queen are both good at offering debuffs that have the ability to reduce the damage done to you by your enemy. They are also considered to be good in Position 1 tanks because they are able to counter attack the enemy when they are being attacked.
Aspen Dungeon: Solo Run
The heroes on this list would be able to reach Nightmare one if their stars are upgraded to at least ten stars plus they should be equipped with gear having at least six stars and the guild tech on the heroes should be maxed out.

Only two heroes, that are Dantalian and Corpsedemon are actually okay enough in Aspen even before they reach their respective 10 star forms.
Also, he hero Ormus finds an honourable mention on this list because, though he works in the aspen. He might only be able to get to the level of Difficulty 1 at ten stars.
Low Tier heroes.
Now we come to the list of heroes that you can actually make into fodder so that you can fusion them or awaken some other better heroes.
Some of the heroes on this list may be good to retain or even have upgrades early on in the game. This is mainly when you cannot seem to get enough copies of other heroes placed on the High or the Mid tiers of this list.

The fact of the matter is, some heroes here may also seem to be useful in some certain situations. These decisions are left for the player to make and decide on a situation to situation basis. A beginner must focus himself on the task of getting a proper and a full team of heroes who are at six stars to progress in the game of idle heroes. This is particularly important when the player does not have any heroes that are rare. But, at the same time, it is a good idea to upgrade the more useful heroes to 6star ones, especially if you are not able to get enough copies of the High tier or the Mid tier heroes.

The hero Walter is a helpful hero, mainly because he possesses the stun on his active skill and his basic skill. This skill is particularly useful in the Toer of oblivion, the Brave Trial and in the arena. Also for some mediocre damage to bosses.
Lutz is an amazing hero for his Basic attack. This reduces the armour of the enemy and also lasts permanently. This males Lutz an awesome and strong debuffer against the enemy bosses. He is also proven to be very good against Mages. Additionally, he can also reach the difficult 1 level in Aspen dungeon at 10 stars. And can also reach the normal 1 in the dungeon of aspen at 9 stars.
Unfortunately, the hero OD-01 is not one of the strongest heroes. His active skills though can hit every enemy, but his basic attack can hit only 3 enemies. His multi target damage can be considered as okay. He is also very tanky for a mage.
Mirage is more common than the hero Walter. Mirage also inflicts more damage against the bosses the player is fighting. He also comes with a attack steal on the basic attack. He is also able to make more damage on his active skills.
Margaret would be judged to be in the same position as that of OD-01. Their multi target damage is okay. And they can be helpful early in the game.
Starlight gains her passive at 6 starts, but she is the average damage dealer for the player. Starlight is also a good for the Brave Trail because of the passive.
Trash Tier Heroes.
This list consists of the heroes that can be safely used as fodder to awaken other better heroes or for fusion.

Again, some heroes may be good depending on the situation.
If you are a beginner, then I would suggest that you focus more on getting your heroes to the 6 star level.
Situational usage.
Norma is a very good asset in the early game. Many of the frequent players of Idle Heroes say that it is good to have her get to the six star level as soon as possible so that you are able to use her tanking and healing skills for the game. She is also very strong in the Brave trial and can also get to the normal 1 level in the aspen dungeon with enough guild tech and good equipment.
The hero Aleria also has some good uses, but many players are not using her because she is new. She has a special protection called the attack steal passive. This is a permanent one that can weaken the enemies that are hitting hard thereby helping you to survive longer in the game. She is also extremely strong against the hard hitting by the enemies like bosses.
