How to climb Elo in TFT

There are some differences between the League of Legends Link system and Teamfight Tactics. The way up is different between games and, in TFT, it is easier to climb or fall from Elo. Let's see the rules:
  • When you reach 100 PdL (League Points), you will immediately move to the next division, without having to play another game. Any amount of extra PdL you earn in the game will be moved to your new rank.
  • When you reach 0 PdL, you will not descend from the division or the league. You will have another opportunity to at least be among the top 4 places in the game to avoid relegation.
  • If you finish the game in the first position, you will earn a lot more PdL than the rest. Likewise, being the first to lose will make you lose more PdL.
  • In case you are in 4th position or above, you will usually receive PdL. If you finish 5th or below that position, you will probably lose. Both situations are not absolutely certain because there are secondary criteria for assessing the score such as the progress of the game or the time it took you to be eliminated.
  • While staying in first place is important, lasting as long as possible in the match should be your main goal.

Rules for playing with friends

  • If everyone belongs to Elo Ouro or less, the group can have a maximum of 5 people.
  • If 1 or more players in the group is Platinum Link or higher, the group can only have a maximum of 3 people.
In addition, depending on Elo, there are also restrictions on forming a group. Check the table:

To clarify all possible doubts, this is how it works:
  • If you belong to Elo Ferro, Bronze or Silver: you can only join friends of Elo Ferro a Ouro.
  • If you belong to Elo Ouro, you can only join with friends from Elo Ferro ao Platinum.
  • If you belong to Elo Platinum: you can only join with friends of Elo Ouro ao Diamante.
  • If you belong to the Diamond Link, you can only join with friends from the Platinum Link to the Challenger.
  • If you belong to the Master Link, Grand Master or Challenger, you can only join friends from the Diamond Link to Challenger.
