faThe items are a big part of the game in Teamfight Tactics (TFT) and, therefore, it is extremely important to know which ones are better than others. Even more importantly, you should know which champions you must equip certain items in order to get the most out of each one. With that in mind, we have created a Tier List of TFT items below with incredible suggestions on how to use each of the game's equipment. The items below were classified based on their individual effect (strength of the item) and versatility (number of situations in which the item is useful). Check out!

S rank items: the best in the game

The S rank items are the items that are at the top of the metagame. They are good in all situations and should be used in all matches.
  • Items: Dragon's Claw, Force of Nature, Frozen Heart, Smoking Cannon, Phantom Dancer, Shojin Spear and Titanic Hydra
Dragon's Claw (2x Negatron Cloak) : 83% magic resistance is almost immunity to magic, which happens to be the effect of Dragons synergy, one of the best in the game. The champion equipped with this item basically becomes an Aurelion Sol or Shyvana and can withstand a lot of attacks in the game. In addition, the item fully counts against a wizard build and any other ult-based champion.
  • Who to equip: any champion you want to protect. It can be used in some tank to make it even more resistant or even in some DPS in the back row to protect it from ults.
Force of Nature (2x Spatula) : there's not much to talk about. 1 extra unit on the board will always be a great resource.
  • Who to equip: any champion.
Frozen Heart (Tear of the Goddess + Chainmail) : Attack speed is one of the most important attributes of TFT and is precisely what is counteracted by the Frozen Heart. The 20% slowness on adjacent enemies remains a great individual effect.
  • Who to equip: in your tanks units positioned on the front line. The longer the Frozen Heart is in play, the better. Great for Knights (Darius, Sejuani, Garen, Mordekaiser, Poppy and Kayle) and Guardians (Braum and Leona).
Phantom Dancer (Recurve Bow + Chainmail) : many players think of this item as "immunity to critical hits", but it is more than that. The equipped champion not only avoids the critic but also takes no damage from that blow. This means that, for every four strokes, your champion will take no damage from one of them (the chances of a critic are, more or less, 25%).
  • Who to equip: in your most fragile DPS positioned on the rear lines. This will make you much more resistant to the Assassins who will jump to attack you. However, the item is extremely versatile and can be used well in many situations.
Smoky Cannon (2x Recurve Bow) : in addition to doubling the range of attacks (which in itself is an incredible effect), the item completely counteracts the Phantom Dancer, since the equipped champion can no longer miss blows.
  • On whom to equip: in ranged units such as Sorcerers (Karthus, Morgana, Aurelion Sol, Ahri, Kassadin, Lulu, Veigar and Twisted Fate, or Patrolmen (Vayne, Varus, Ashe and Kindred). In addition, the item is also useful in the hands of Yasuo (Exile), causing him to do damage while remaining in his isolated position.
? Shojin Spear (Tear of the Goddess + GPC Sword) : clearly one of the best items in the game. Even nerfed, the 15% mana bonus per attack still makes the Shojin Spear one of the must-have items in every game.
  • Who to equip: your champion with the best ult (active skill). The item allows the champion to be able to use the skill again in a very short time.
Titanic Hydra (Recurve Bow + Giant's Belt) : 10% of the user's maximum life in splash damage per attack is a lot.
  • Who to equip: in your tank (like Gnar, for example) with greater resistance and longer life. The logic is to keep the item in play as long as possible and, obviously, the higher the equipped champion's HP, the greater the damage.

Rank A items: very good and versatile

Rank A items are also among the best in the game, but are not as good as rank S. Even so, items in this rank have great individual effects and are also very useful in various situations.
  • Items : Chainmail, Recurve Bow, Spatula, Iron Solari Medallion, Guinsoo's Blade of Fury, Seraph's Embrace, Thorn Armor, Zeke's Heraldo and Zephyr
Chainmail : armor is an attribute that is on the rise in TFT, since many champions are relying on normal attacks. In addition to the armor bonus, Chainmail is one of the primary items used to form some of the best items in the game.
  • Who to equip: any champion, preferably in the frontline tanks.
? Recurve Bow : Attack speed remains one of the best attributes of the game, as in addition to the increase in DPS, it makes the champion receive mana faster. In addition, the Recurve Bow is also used to form some of the best items in the game.
  • Who to equip: your DPS.
Spatula : if it is necessary to obtain the Force of Nature item, it is a good item.
  • On whom to equip: not team.
Iron Solari Medallion (Needlessly Large Rod + Chainmail) : good defense item that provides a shield to adjacent allies.
  • On whom to equip: Guardians (Braum and Leona) and Knights (Darius, Sejuani, Garen, Mordekaiser, Poppy and Kayle)
Guinsoo's Blade of Fury (Recurve Bow + Needlessly Large Rod) : As stated before, attack speed is one of the best (perhaps the best) attribute of the game, and that's what Guinsoo offers in abundance.
  • Who to equip: champions more based on normal attacks such as Glaciers (Volibear, Lissandra, Anivia, Braum, Sejuani and Ashe), Gunmen (Lucian, Miss Fortune, Graves, Tristana and Gangplank) and Patrolmen (Varus, Ashe, Vayne and Kindred ). All of these champions have special effects in normal attacks caused by their synergies. Thus, the faster they attack, the more likely they are to put these effects into play.
Embrace of Seraph (2x Tear of the Goddess) : it is basically a worsened Shojin Spear.
  • On whom to equip: being a mana item, it must be equipped on your champion with the best ult. However, it is not as versatile as the Shojin Spear and is best used on Sorcerers.
Armor of Thorns (2x Chainmail) : As said before, armor is one of the best attributes of TFT and the reflection of 35% of the damage received is the icing on the cake.
  • Who to equip: in your most resistant and centralized tank. It is important that the equipped champion is the target of most opponents. The greater the champion's resistance, the more damage will be reflected.
Heraldo de Zeke (Giant's Belt + GPC Sword) : again, attack speed is one of the best attributes of the game. But 10% is not much.
  • Who to equip: centralized champions to affect as many allies as possible.
Zephyr (Negatron Cloak + Giant's Belt) : the item's effect sums it up: banish an enemy for 5 seconds at the start of the fight. This is enough time to focus attacks on fewer units and take advantage.
  • Who to equip: any champion.

Rank B items: average and useful

Rank B items are of medium level. They have moderate individual effects, but are still useful in many situations.
  • Items : GPC Sword, Needlessly Large Rod, Tear of the Goddess, Bloodthirsty, Hextech Gunblade, Hush, Infinity Edge, Morellonomicon, Rabadon's Deathcap, Red Buff, Bladebreaker and Warmog's Armor and Luden's Echo
GPC sword : needed to form other high level items.
  • Who to equip: in your main DPS in the early game.
Needlessly Large Rod : needed to form other high-level items.
  • Who to equip: in your main DPS wizard in the early game.
Tear of the Goddess : necessary to form other high-level items.
  • Who to equip: in your unit with the best ult in the early game.
Bloodthirsty (GPC Sword + Negatron Cloak) : 35% Life Steal occurs with every normal attack. Great item to be combined with others that give attack speed.
  • In whom to equip: better equipped in Patrolmen (Varus, Ashe, Vayne and Kindred) due to the extra attack given by their synergy. However, it is also well explored in other champions equipped with attack speed items.
Hextech Laminar Pistol (Needlessly Large Rod + GPC Sword) : similar to the item above, but is applied to any damage done.
  • Who to equip: in your main DPS. It is very compatible with Demons (Evelyn, Aatrox, Brand, Varus, Elise, Swain and Morgana) due to the synergy's real damage bonus.
Hush (Tear of the Goddess + Negatron Cloak) : a normal debuff item (silence), but the high success rate of 30% per attack makes the difference.
  • In whom to equip: in Patrolmen (Varus, Ashe, Vayne and Kindred) to have more chances of putting the silence in effect and in the Blitzcrank (Robot), since he starts the round with full mana and does not need to take damage of abilities to enable yours.
Edge of Infinity (2x GPC Sword) : standard item for DPS.
  • Who to equip: Assassins (Evelyn, Katarina, Zed, Akali, Pyke, Rengar and Kha'Zix). The item perfectly matches the synergy of this class.
Morellonomicon (Needlessly Large Rod + Giant's Belt) : applies a DoT (damage over time) effect to all magic attacks.
  • In whom to equip: in Sorcerers (Karthus, Morgana, Aurelion Sol, Ahri, Kassadin, Lulu, Veigar and Twisted Fate) and in Elementalists (Brand, Lissandra, Anivia and Kennen).
Rabadon's Deathcap (2x Needlessly Large Rod) : a simple item to increase magic damage.
  • In whom to equip: in Sorcerers (Karthus, Morgana, Aurelion Sol, Ahri, Kassadin, Lulu, Veigar and Twisted Fate) and in Elementalists (Brand, Lissandra, Anivia and Kennen).
Red Buff (Chainmail + Giant's Belt) : another item of damage increase, but with an interesting debuff that prevents healing.
  • Who to equip: Gunmen (Lucian, Miss Fortune, Graves, Tristana and Gangplank). That way, there is a chance that all your opponents on the board will be debuffed.
? Bladebreaker (Chainmail + Negatron Cape) : another item of debuffs activated with normal attacks.
  • Who to equip: in Blade Masters (Fiora, Shen, Aatrox, Gangplank, Draven and Yasuo) and Patrolmen (Vayne, Varus, Ashe and Kindred).
? Warmog's Armor (2x Giant's Belt) : a reasonable defense item. Allows the equipped champion to survive longer.
  • Who to equip: Memamorfos (Elise, Shyvana, Swain, Nidalee and Gnar) are the first options, without a doubt. The effect of Warmog's Armor forms a perfect combo with the synesthesia of this Origin. If there are no Shapeshifters on the field, place the item in your champion tank with the highest HP.
Luden's Echo (Needlessly Large Rod + Tear of the Goddess) : splash damage is a feature that is gaining prominence in TFT.
  • Who to equip: in some Sorcerer (Karthus, Morgana, Aurelion Sol, Ahri, Kassadin, Lulu, Veigar and Twisted Fate). Luden's Echo is perfect to be combined with this synergy.

Rank C items: bad or situational

Rank C items are bad. Its effects are not at the level of the other items and have low utility, and are consequently more situational. They are generally used as a second (or third) option, or to counter some very specific situation.
  • Items : Giant's Belt, Negatron Cloak, Cursed Blade, Runaan's Hurricane, Statikk Knife, Blade of the Divine and Ionic Spark
Giant's Belt : necessary to form other stronger items, but which are not among the best in the game (with the exception of Titanic Hydra). Your benefited attribute (HP) is not among the most important.
  • Who to equip: in your main tank in the early game.
Negatron cloak : needed to make other stronger items, but not among the best in the game. At least its benefited attribute (magic resistance) is useful.
  • Who to equip: any champion.
Cursed Blade (Recurve Bow + Negatron Cloak) : 20% chance to reduce 1 target star per attack, without a doubt, one of the most violent debuffs in the game.
  • Who to equip: Assassins (Evelynn, Katarina, Zed, Akali, Pyke, Rengar and Kha'Zix) so they can finish the job quickly and jump to the next target. It is also well equipped in Blade Masters (Fiora, Shen, Aatrox, Gangplank, Draven and Yasuo) and Patrolmen (Vayne, Varus, Ashe and Kindred).
? Runaan's Hurricane (Negatron Cloak + Spatula) : similar to splash damage but affects only 2 extra opponents. In addition, each opponent hit is considered an isolated attack.
  • Who to equip: Glaciers (Lissandra, Braum, Ashe, Volibear, Sejuani and Anivia) to increase the chances of putting the synergy effect (stun) in play. It is also useful in Imperials (Darius, Katarina, Draven and Swain).
? Statikk knife (Recurve Bow + Tear of the Goddess) : below average item. The damage spread is very little and on top of that it only happens every three attacks.
  • Who to equip: champions who attack fast to increase the frequency of splash damage. The most indicated are Savages (Rengar, Warwick, Nidalee, Gnar, Ahri), Blade Masters (Aatrox, Yasuo, Draven, Fiora, Shen and Gangplank) and Patrolmen (Varus, Ashe, Vayne and Kindred). It is also well used in Gunmen (Graves, Tristana, Lucian, Gangplank and Miss Fortune), especially if the synergy of 4 is ready.
Blade of the Divine (GPC Sword + Recurve Bow) : very little chance (5%) of getting 100% Critical Strike. This rate needs to be increased to compete with the other items.
  • Who to equip: Patrolmen (Varus, Ashe, Vayne and Kindred).
Ionic Spark (Needlessly Large Rod + Negatron Cloak) : a Wizards counter item. However, the damage done to targets is still very low (200).
  • Who to equip: Knights (Darius, Sejuani, Garen, Mordekaiser, Poppy and Kayle) or Guardians (Braum and Leona). The longer the item remains on the board, the better.

D rank items: the worst in the game

Rank D items are completely unnecessary. If you get them ready for a merry-go-round, fine, use them, but never spend your precious items crafting these here. There are many other better options.
  • Items : Guardian Angel and Redemption
Guardian Angel (GPC Sword + Chainmail) : despite the buff received, the item remains almost useless. The only context in which he makes a difference is when the round is extremely disputed and his champion comes back to life and makes a difference. However, everyone knows that most defeats don't happen that way, and your opponent often ends the round with two, three or more units. Thus, your champion will come back to life only to die a few seconds later.
  • Who to equip: your team's carry, that is, the strongest and best equipped champion. Perhaps this item will make a difference.
Redemption (Giant's Belt and Tear of the Goddess) : another bad item. It looks good, but in order to work it needs a lot of elements to fit together. First, if the equipped champion is the last to die, the item is wasted. Second, if the champion dies quickly, the allies may not have taken that much damage, so they will not fully benefit from healing. Finally, if the allies get away from the equipped champion, they will not heal either.
  • Who to equip: extremely situational, but try to equip it with a champion who always dies in the rounds, but not that fast.
Complete Guide to Teamfight Tactics Items and Combinations!

Unranked items: purely situational

There are no criteria for classifying items without rank because they are all purely situational. All are handcrafted with spatulas and aim to change the class of the equipped champion. Therefore, they can be completely useless or totally necessary to turn the game around depending on the situation and, mainly, on the build you choose.
  • Items : Blade of the Destroyer King, Darkin, Frozen Mallet, Knight's Vow, Youmuu and Yuumi's Ghostblade
