ideal for beginners. His use of EMP grenades makes Thatcher a nightmare for opposing teams that rely too heavily on electronic devices.
Armament : L85A2, AR33, M590A1, P226
Explosives / Gadget : Breach Explosive or Claymore
Exclusive Gadget : EG MKO-EMP Grenades. These grenades fry any electronic device. If the team of defenders is wearing any, their bad luck day has come.
Tip : Thatcher always has a place in any team for its versatility.
I Q
In a game like Rainbow Six Siege, finding out information about enemies in real time is vital. IQ is the best operator to discover electronic surveillance devices, but it is up to you to notify your team in time of threats. It is important to know how to communicate with your team verbally or you will not be able to make the most of IQ.
Armament : AUG A2, 552 Commando, G8H1, USP P12
Explosives / Gadget : Breach Explosive or Grenades
Exclusive Gadget : RED MK III “Spectrum" electronics detector. This detector allows IQ to detect any electrical device that appears as circular waves on the device's screen, whether on the floor, ceiling or wall. IQ is the perfect operator to counteract the Pulse operator .
Tip : If your playing style is more calculating and if you enjoy team-based tactics, IQ is a sublime operator. If you prefer a more aggressive role, you are not taking advantage of the best IQ skills.
Thermite
Thermite is practically irreplaceable in any attacking team, due to its use of high impact explosive charges. They can breach any wall and Thermite can use their powerful weapons and stunning grenades right away. It is a good operator for the beginner.
Armament : M1014, 556XI, M45 Meusoc, 5.7 USG
Explosives / Gadget : Claymore or Stun Grenades
Exclusive Gadget : Brimstone BC3 Explosive Exothermic Charge. Place the charge on any surface that needs to detonate and activate your remote, away from the preferred location. BC3 is more powerful than normal loop explosives and needs a few seconds to activate. A good tactic is to immediately throw a stunning grenade after the breach opens.
Tip : Thermite is always useful, on any team. Its ability to detonate walls and weaponry with high damage make it a solid, though predictable choice.
Twitch
Difficult to master for a beginner, this GIGN-trained operator specializes in detonating surveillance devices using his ground-based drones. These incredible devices use electric shocks to knock out any type of electronic device that is detected. In addition, Twicth's varied weaponry is a good addition to any team.
Armament : SG-CQB, F2, Rifle 417, P9, LFP586
Explosives / Gadget : Breach Explosive or Claymores
Exclusive Gadget : Drones with wheels, armed with taser. By controlling them, Twitch manages to eliminate cameras or other surveillance devices, leaving the enemy blind to his movements. The drones are slow and large, but withstand multiple shots before they break.
Tip : Enemies will try to quickly eliminate Twitch drones, due to their size and weight, but using them well, Twitch is a real nightmare. Its varied armament, from shotgun to sniper rifle, makes it a versatile operator.
Ash
This dynamic entry expert, trained by the FBI, is for aggressive players. Highly mobile, difficult to reach for its small stature and capable of opening holes in walls and ceilings using its M120 shotgun, Ash is made to be fast and lethal.
Armament : G36C; R4-C, M45 Meusoc, 5.7 USG
Explosives / Gadget : Breach Explosive or Stun Grenade
Exclusive Gadget : Shotgun M120 CREM with two incendiary ammunition. Need an opening? Such a bullet makes a nice hole in normal walls or ceilings. But remember that you only have two of those bullets.
Tip : Ash is valuable for detonating enemy defenses and creating openings. It is a fast and efficient operator, but it needs to be well coordinated with the rest of the team to take full advantage of its speed and aggression.
Hibana
A specialist in Martial Arts and armed combat, Hibana is an attacker who needs to be used with tactical intelligence and good coordination between the team. Its X-Kairos 40mm grenade launcher lets you launch and detonate small charges on reinforced or normal walls from a distance, without putting it at risk. However, the gaps are small and Hibana's armament is not very strong, needing the rest of the team to assist her in the continuation of the mission.
Armament : Type-89, Supernova, Bearing 9, P229
Explosives / Gadget : Breach Explosive or Stun Grenade
Exclusive Gadget : Kairos Grenade Launcher 40 mm. This powerful weapon allows Hibana to detonate normal or reinforced walls with accurate shots or to open holes to observe / shoot. Grenades don't do as much damage as Thermite's explosives or Ash's special shots, for example, but are more flexible and more
Tip : Hibana is a good addition to the team, if used to create opportunities and loopholes quickly. Its armament does not allow a good defense so it needs a strong team to be more effective.
Sledge
Armed with a huge sledgehammer, Sledge is anything but subtle. On maps with walls and wooden floors, Sledge manages to break everything and attack without fear or pity and complement with his weaponry. It is a simple to understand operator, perfect for a beginner who appreciates direct action and aggression.
Armament : L85A2, M590A1, SMG-11, P226,
Explosives / Gadget : Grenades or Stun Grenades
Exclusive Gadget : Tactical mallet known as "The Trunk". Despite the rough appearance, Sledge is relatively quiet when breaking walls, doors and ceilings, compared to operators who prefer explosives.
Tip : Sledge is a solid, balanced and robust operator, which pays off to have on the team. On the right maps, with fragile construction, your sledgehammer can cause more destruction faster than the use of explosives.
Defenders
Skull
Caveira is a difficult operator to master who needs extensive knowledge of each map. Its armament is relatively weak when compared to other operators, but Caveira was created to silently eliminate opponents, not for shootings. If you like to move silently in the shadows and eliminate the enemy team before they realize what hit them, it is a good choice, but get ready for a long apprenticeship. You're either a skull or a kid.
Armament : M12, SPAS, Luison (PRB92 silenced)
Explosives / Gadget : Bulletproof camera; impact grenade
Unique Gadget / Skill : Skull is able to move silently using the Silent Step. This ability recharges itself during the game. In addition, Caveira can eliminate or knock out his opponents with Luison, silently. In this knockout state, she can interrogate and report the position of the remaining enemy team in a few seconds.
Tip : Skull is a nightmare for the enemy team. Used well, it can silently eliminate the attacking team or delay its advance. If you are a patient player with nerves of steel, she is a good option.
Mute
When defending, it is important to deny the enemy access to important areas. After reinforcing walls, it is important to block electronic signals from explosive charges or other devices such as drones. Mute specializes in this type of electronic defense, using his GC90 "Moni" jammers. A good use of the ultra fast MP5K also makes it a real danger.
Armament : MP5K, M590A1, P226
Explosives / Gadget : Nitro Cell or bulletproof cameras
Exclusive Gadget : GC90 "Moni" Signal Disruptor. Using this system, Mute is able to block electrical charges from exploding and prevent drones from functioning. If the enemy team does not bring a Thatcher, the game will go very badly for him.
Tip : Mute is faster than Bandit to mount his switch and this is effective on all surfaces. It is the best anti-drone remedy.
Doc
Doc manages to keep the team alive using his hypodermic darts. It is best used by patient players, who keep the team up and running while keeping the goal on constant watch. If you prefer a more aggressive game type, you are not a good operator, but in the right hands it is pure gold.
Armament : MP5, P90. SG-CQB, P9, LFP586
Explosives / Gadget : Barbed Wire or Bulletproof Camera
Exclusive Gadget : MPD-0 Stimulating Dose Pistol. Doc can use his darts to heal comrades from a distance or himself.
Tip : Keep Doc close to a teammate to revive or heal him whenever necessary, or keep the team under surveillance. Doc is a waste of the team if used by individual players.
Bandit
A specialist in dirty tricks, Bandit is a defender who works well in a small area, preferably with a lot of metal. Your Shock Wire gadget can electrify any metal surface, disabling explosive charges from operating on a wall, for example, or seriously injuring an enemy if you touch electrified barbed wire.
Armament : MP7, M870, P12
Explosives / Gadget : Barbed Wire or Nitro Cel
Exclusive Gadget : CED-1 Shock Wire. Place near a metal surface to electrify it. Great for defense, especially when combined with barbed wire: if your enemies are not electrocuted they will try to detonate the CED with shots, warning of its presence.
Tip : To better use Bandit, you need to know the maps relatively well and know where to place your Shock Wire. Thus, you can lure your enemies into an ambush or delay them very effectively.
Rook
This old GIGN operative is slow, but with very strong armor. Your exclusive gadget is to equip your teammates with bulletproof vests. making them more difficult to eliminate. It's a simple but effective skill: more armor, more chances to survive.
Armament : MP5, P90. SG-CQB, P9, LFP586
Explosives / Gadget : Anti-bullet shield or impact grenades
Exclusive Gadget : RN1 bulletproof plate bag: Rhino. Protect your teammates by making the bag available to you at the start of the match.
Tip : Rook doesn't have the most amazing skill of all, but it works. Other than that, he is a well-armed and resistant operator, for players who do not fear attackers.
Smoke
Smoke is one of the best defenders of Rainbow Six Siege, especially in the last moments of the match. Using his toxic gas grenades that explode remotely, he manages to deny movement to the enemy team, as well as disorient them for a few precious seconds. And that is all he needs.
Armament : FMG9, M590A1, SMG-11, P226
Explosives / Gadget : Barbed Wire or Impact Grenades
Exclusive Gadget : Z8 gas grenades. They can be detonated from a distance to surprise your enemies and glued to both the wall and the ceiling. They are best used in the final moments of the match. This way, you force your enemies to advance to an area full of gas that takes life and disorientates (the gas is very thick) while filling them with shots.
Tip : A great defender for beginners, Smoke is very useful as long as you use your gas grenades at the right time. With a duration of just 10 seconds, the surprise factor doesn't last long.
She
Fast, hard to reach and well armed, she is a defender for aggressive players, who like to surprise the enemy team. Its sticky bombs are one of the best traps in the game, making it very effective as a defender and a literal headache if you are close to one.
Armament : Scorpion Evo 3 A1, FO-12, RG15
Explosives / Gadget : Barbed Wire or Shielded Shield
Exclusive Gadget : GRZMOT sticky mines. These proximity mines can be placed in different locations and are relatively easy to camouflage. They emit a flash and a very strong sound that disorients all players in the area of ??action. They can be detonated with shots.
Tip : Their mines are extremely versatile. They can be used to interrupt the assembly of devices or explosive charges and serve to disorient even enemies behind a shield.
