Ragnarok Mobile Complete Class Guide

Check out our full guide of Ragnarok M: Eternal Love classes, evolutions, and builds. The game does not have all the classic Ragnarok classes yet, but they are already scheduled for future updates. Before you begin, be aware that there are no better classes than others. All are very balanced and the choice depends on your preference.

Apprentice

All characters start as an apprentice until they reach level 10 and complete the quest to choose the main class. Be aware that all of your attributes will be reset when the new class is earned, so even if you want to be a magician, put points on strength and agility as a learner.
  • Evolves to: swordsman, archer, wizard, thief, novice, and merchant.
  • Build: Strength, Vitality and Dexterity

First classes

The first classes are accessible by level 10 apprentices. They are: swordsman, archer, wizard, thief, novice, and merchant.

Swordsman

Swordsman is the typical melee class focused on attack and defense. The class deals physical damage and has high durability, so they are usually tanks.
  • Evolve to: Knight and Templar
  • Build: Strength, Vitality and Dexterity

Archer

Archer is the class that deals far-reaching physical damage. It has always been the easiest to level on Ragnarok, as it deals a lot of damage while staying at a safe distance. A very important factor for archers (and all their upgrades) is the ability to use specific element arrows to deal more damage to certain monsters.
  • Evolve to: Hunter and Shooter
  • Build: Agility, Dexterity, and Luck / Vitality

Mage

Mage is the class that deals magic damage. Like the archer, it is one of the easiest classes to level because it deals a lot of damage and has many features, and is very popular for parties. Mages have spells of different elements that, if used against the right monsters, deal extra damage.
  • Evolve to: Witch and Sage
  • Build: Intelligence and Dexterity

Thief

Gatuno is the stealth class of the game. It is not very tough but has high dodge rate and evasive abilities, and causes a lot of physical damage.
  • Evolves to: Mercenary and Rogue
  • Build: Strength, Agility, and Dexterity

Novice

Novice is support class of the game. Since most skills are buffs, it can be relatively difficult to level up on your own. However, class is indispensable in parties, so it won't be hard to find help.
  • Evolve to: Priest and Monk
  • Build: Intelligence, Vitality and Dexterity

Merchant

Merchant is the most hybrid class 1 in the game. Their skills are not about combat, but about buying cheaper items and selling them more expensive. It is the hardest class to level up on its own since most of its skills are geared toward commerce.
  • Evolves to: Blacksmith and Alchemist
  • Build: Strength, Vitality and Dexterity

Second Classes (2-1)

Classes 2-1 are the direct evolutions of the first classes and are available at job level 40. All of them usually maintain the same characteristics and attributes as previous classes, but have a wider range of skills and some have more than one viable build.

Knights

Knight is the direct evolution of swordsman. It is the classic tank, being extremely tough and dealing good damage, so it is capable of leveling itself for a long time, and is very good for hunting MVP.
  • Evolves to: Lord or Runic Knight
  • Classic Build: Strength, Vitality, and Dexterity
  • Hybrid Build: Strength, Agility / Vitality and Dexterity (Balancing Agility and Vitality)

Hunter

Hunter (or Hunter) is the direct evolution of archer. Follows the same main features and attributes as the previous class, but with many more skill options, involving the use of animals and traps. Historically, it has always been one of the easiest classes to level by itself.
  • Evolve to: Sniper or Sentry
  • Classic Build: Agility and Dexterity
  • Build Critical: Agility and Dexterity / Luck (balancing dexterity and luck)

Wizard

Warlock is the direct evolution of the wizard. It has exactly the same main characteristics and attributes, but with a much wider range of abilities and several geared towards area damage (AoE). It is one of the most requested classes for parties because it has one of the best DPS in the game.
  • Evolve to: Archmage or Arcane
  • Build: Intelligence and Dexterity

Mercenary

Mercenary (or assassin) is the direct evolution of thief. Their style of play remains the same, being an exclusively damage class with low resistance but a high dodge rating. Mercenaries use daggers or katars and the build needs to revolve around the weapon they choose.
  • Evolves to: Something or Sicily
  • Build dagger: Strength, Vitality and Dexterity
  • Build katar (critical): Strength, Agility, and Luck.

Priest

Priest is the direct evolution of novice. It can be said to be the most useful class in the game as it is the only purely supportive one. It has the best cures and the best buffs and hardly up alone but is indispensable in any party.
  • Evolve to: High Priest or Archbishop
  • Classic Build: Vitality, Intelligence and Dexterity
  • Exorcist Build: Intelligence and Dexterity

Blacksmith

Blacksmith is the direct evolution of a merchant. It's a very versatile class because it does a lot of damage and applies great buffs to itself and the rest of the group. It's great for leveling alone and farming zenys.
  • Evolves to: Blacksmith or Mechanic
  • Build tank: Strength and Vitality
  • Build DPS: Strength and Agility / Vitality (balancing agility and vitality)

Second Classes (2-2)

Classes 2-2 are other evolution alternatives for classes 1 and are also available at job level 40. They are generally more hybrid and less unilateral classes than classes 2-1. In some cases, the main attributes change completely over classes 1.

Templar

Templar is another evolution of swordsmen. It is one of the most versatile classes in the game because they can play tank, support and DPS (damage per second) roles. Like riders, they are extremely sturdy. Regarding their skills, the Templars have several support options that make them even more durable, such as cures, shields, buffs and other spells to protect the party.
  • Evolve to: Paladin or Royal Guardian
  • Classic Build: Strength, Vitality, and Dexterity
  • Build full tank: Vitality and Intelligence
  • Build full support: Vitality, Intelligence / Dexterity (balancing intelligence and dexterity)

Rogue is another evolution of thief. It is a versatile class that can attack from near and far, depending on the weapon used. Their abilities are unique and can disarm opponents, remove equipment and plagiarize skills.
  • Evolve to: Disruptive or Renegade
  • Build dagger: Strength, Agility and Dexterity
  • Arch Build: Agility, Dexterity, and Luck
  • Build Remover: Intelligence and Dexterity

Monk

Monk is another novice evolution, but it has nothing to do with support. The class is focused on physical damage and so its main attributes are completely replaced. Monks are a bit more versatile characters as they still guard novice buffs while dealing insane damage. Its main differential is the "Supreme Asura Fist" skill that can deal unparalleled damage in just one blow, making it perfect for hunting MVP or foiling PvP opponents.
  • Evolve to: Master or Shura
  • Build Asura: Strength, Intelligence, and Dexterity
  • Build combos: Strength, Agility, and Luck

Alchemist

Alchemist is another merchant evolution. It is probably the most expensive class in the game as it requires a lot of equipment and materials to prepare potions and other items. It is a class of DPS that also applies buffs and debuffs. It is definitely not suitable for beginners.
  • Evolve to: Creator or Biochemical
  • Acid Build: Strength, Intelligence, and Dexterity
  • Build Homunculus: Strength, Intelligence and Vitality

Transclasses (2-1)

Transclasses 2-1 (or transcendent classes) are accessible to all players who choose to be reborn upon reaching the maximum level. After you do this, your character will return to level 1 as an Apprentice T.
