All Playerunknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) matches start with a parachute jump. Learning to master your parachute jump is an important skill in PUBG, as it allows you to arrive quickly and safely to the chosen point on the map. With a little training, you will be able to master your parachute like any other vehicle.
New way to fall fast
Despite some more radical aspects, PUBG is a game with some realism. By parachuting in the game, you get a full sense of the force of gravity. As soon as you get off the plane, you are in free fall
. That is, you have not yet opened your parachute and the speed you can already reach is huge.
Coinciding with the launch of the Vikendi map, the PUBG parachuting system has undergone many changes
, being now much more realistic and with better response to controls. Check out our method to master your parachute:
- Jump about 600 meters from where you want to land
- Press the run button (default SHIFT) to achieve the fastest possible fall speed
- When reaching 200 km / h, release the SHIFT and keep your flight more or less in a straight line
- When there are about 100 to 200 meters left, press SHIFT again and get ready to land.
It is very important, with these new rules, to land in a safe place, without electric poles or trees that can cut the lines of your parachute and make you fall too high, causing damage.
On the other hand, it is now possible, if necessary, to cut the parachute lines yourself and land even faster. Take care of your height or you could be seriously injured. Nobody wants to start a PUBG match with the low health bar.
Now that you know the mechanics of the parachute, it's time to put the theory into practice. First, find out which route your plane is going to take. Thus, you will know how to choose the best places to jump and get a good loot
. You can wait a few seconds for the plane to appear on the map or use the outside view and align the plane with the scenery. Thus, it will be located quickly.
There are two basic strategies you can use: choose a loot
location close to the plane's trajectory or a more remote location where you can start your game more safely. Both choices have advantages and disadvantages.
The plane's route is always in a straight line and it takes about 55 seconds
to cross the map. There is no time for indecision. Always mark a spot before jumping to avoid being disoriented.
After the chosen location, it is very important that you know the right time
to jump. Many players prefer to jump directly over the chosen point, but experience has shown that it is better to jump 4 to 5 seconds before
the plane passes the point, more or less at a distance of 600 meters.
By jumping slightly before the chosen point, you will be able to fall faster and reach the ground before other players who are waiting for the plane to line up with the point. It's only a few seconds, but they will make all the difference.
Now that you know how to choose the right moment to jump, it is useful to know the type of jump you want. There are short, medium and long distance
jumps . They all depend on the speed you can achieve in free fall and the moment you decide to open your parachute.
Your goal in this jump is simply to get to the ground as quickly as possible. Keep your speed at maximum (234 km / h), aligning your camera with the ground, and wait until your parachute opens automatically. Observe the altimeter on the left side of the screen. As soon as the cursor reaches the white area, the parachute will open automatically.
After opening the parachute, you will cover approximately 150 meters. Calculate this distance well to avoid falling into a dangerous place.
Medium distance jump
This is the most common type of jump in PUBG. It allows you to reach slightly more distant goals and, therefore, avoid a large concentration of players that can harm your mission.
By aligning your camera with the sky, despite being in free fall, you will achieve a maximum speed of 126 km / h. Avoid opening the parachute too quickly, as this will cut too much speed. The secret is knowing the distance you can travel until you need to open your parachute.
The purpose of this type of jump is to reach targets that are well away from the plane's route. Usually, only advanced players try to reach these locations. As soon as you get off the plane and the signal appears, immediately open your parachute.
Opening your parachute early will allow you to plan at low speed, maximizing the distance covered.
Mastering the parachute jump can decide your strategy for the rest of the game and, consequently, your victory. The parachute should not be seen as just another mode of transport. In PUBG, where speed and strategy are important, knowing where and how to jump is another weapon in your arsenal.
