Teamfight Tactics (TFT), like other autobattle games like Dota Underlords and Auto Chess, also has an item system to empower champions (heroes).
In TFT, items can only be obtained by creeping drops in neutral rounds. The odds of dropping are variable, so you can come out of a neutral round with more than one item, or none at all. Also, it is not possible to know which item will be dropped.
The game has 9 primary items (the ones that can be dropped). All other stronger items are formed by combinations of these 9 items, which are:
- GPC sword
- Recurve bow
- Needlessly Large Rod
- Goddess Tear
- Chainmail
- Negatron Cloak
- Giant's Belt
- Boxer Gloves
- Spatula
